Holiday Stress

Yes, being with the family can cause lots of stress. Most of it can be avoided by not buying into the rhetoric of your family. If you think about the past -you see that “history” does repeat itself and some of the family members do the same thing every year!!”
1.Smile-you think I’m nuts? No, I’m not– and if the person is doing the same thing they always do-say to yourself-here they go again–(smile to yourself) and walk away.
2. Tell them –they may be right–when you tell someone that they may be right–it stops their thinking! Then say, BUT and make your point.
3. Take a deep breathe—in through your nose and out through your mouth. Count in to five(inhaling)–then exhale, count backwards-five four three two one–do it again if necessary.
4. SHEILD UP–create an artificial shield in your mind and as they talk -put it up so that the negative energy will not come into you and cause any harm.
5. And of course ,forgive them–after all they are family; and ,friends and you should all be happy to be alive.
God Bless You and have a Happy Holiday!
