Mindfulness

The best explanation of what is mindfulness is found in a wonderful book The Miracle of Mindfulness–it was translated in l975. It is a “A Zen master’s method of meditation, concentration, and relaxation.” It was actually the translation of a letter written by Thich Nhat Hanh.
It is a Manual on Meditation–being in the moment. I have had several copies of the book over the years and gave them away. I recently repurchased a used one from Amazon., because when I started the blog, I knew that I would want to refresh my memory.
“While washing the dishes on should only be washing the dishes, which means that while washing the dishes one should be completely aware of the fact that one is washing the dishes.”
You might think that is strange, but if you only do that and your mind doesn’t wonder to what are you going to do after, or later you are completely in the moment. And you are you.
